Styx - Boat on the River

Have you ever searched for a song for 5 years with no luck? You only heard the song once, but you just can't find it? And then one day you wake up and the tune playing in your head? Waking up humming:

Take me back to my boat on the river, and I won't cry out anymore.

I have...

Jackson Browne - Stay [Live 1978]

I just love this song, well yes it is a bit old... Okay too old, but still the good music never dies.

This is my favorite part:

'Cause when that mornin' sun comes beating down
you're gonna wake up in your town
and we'll be scheduled to appear

a thousand miles away from here

People stay just a little bit longer
we want to play, just a little bit longer

Now the promoter don't mind

and the union don't mind

if we take a little time

and we leave it all behind and sing

one more song here

Enjoy. :)

Within Temptation - Angels

Within Temptation has been one of my favorite bands for a while. I adore this song, but the video is lame, it could be done way better than this! I swear the video sucks big time!

The song is great, her voice is amazing, but the video... I mean REALLY?! What the hell you were thinking of?

Anyway, enjoy the song.

Timo Tolkki Ft. Michael Kiske - Key to the Universe

Timo Tolkki is one of the greatest guitar players out there, and Michael Kiske is one of the greatest voices out there. So imagine the both of them in one song! It would be great... And it is.

The solos are great, especially the intro. Anyway, I am sorry guys there is no video for the song, that is what I found.

Enjoy.

Plumb - In My Arms

This is one nice song, really. But I guess it is composed for all you mothers out there. :D

For mothers, I dedicate:

Plumb - In My Arms

For non-mothers and House music lovers, I dedicate... Okay also for mothers who like House music:

Plumb - In My Arms (Bimbo Jones Radio Edit)

Enjoy. :)

Your baby blues
so full of wonder.
Your curley cues
your contageous smile.
And as i watch
you start to grow up
all I can do is hold you tight.

Knowing...
Clouds will rage and
storms will race in
but you will be safe,
in my arms.

Rains will pour down
waves will crash all around
but you will be safe,
in my arms.

Story books
are full of fairy tales
of kings and queens
and the bluest skies.
My heart is torn
just in knowing
you'll someday see
the truth from lies

When the clouds will rage and
storms will race in
but you will be safe,
in my arms.
Rains will pour down
waves will crash all around
but you will be safe,
in my arms.

Castles, they might crumble
dreams may not come true,
but you are never all alone
'cause I will always
always love you.

When the...
Clouds will rage and
storms will race in
but you will be safe,
in my arms.
Rains will pour down
waves will crash all around
but you will be safe,
in my arms.

Schiller - I Feel You

Another nice Trance song. I especially like the lyric.

Enjoy.

I feel you...
In every stone
in every leaf of every tree
you've ever grown.
(That you ever might have grown)

I feel you...
In everything
in every river that might flow
in every seed you might have sown.

I feel you...
In every vein
in every beating of my heart
each breath I take.
(In every breath I'll ever take)

I feel you...
Anyway...
In every tear that I might shed
in every word I've never said.

H.I.M. - The Funeral of Hearts

Love's the funeral of hearts,
and an ode for cruelty.

One of the most amazing videos I have ever seen. Enjoy.

Paul Van Dyk - Let Go

From the world of Trance, the latest from Paul Van Dyk. I like the song, but the video?!

"If you want to try and save me,
then take my heart don't hate me.
If you feel you can let go,
let go."

Enjoy. :)

Bee Gees - This is Where I Came In

I recall talking about this song somewhere!

Anyway, this is the last video for the Bee Gees, after the death of one of the singers. I really like the song, and the video is brilliant.

Enjoy. :)

Gregorian

Have you heard of Gregorian before? I think most of you have not.

Gregorian is a German band performing Gregorian chant. But their chant is a bit different from what we know, because theirs is inspired from modern Rock songs and other genres as well. In other words, they mostly play covers from well known songs in their own style. I have to say, it is amazing.

I think that having couple of your favorite songs in Gregorian style is a must. Anyway I will post 3 of my ultimate favorites.

Losing My Religion (Originally by R.E.M.)

Nothing Else Matters (Originally by Metallica)

Moment of Peace (By Gregorian Ft. Sarah Brightman)

P.S. I think Losing My Religion by Gregorian is the greatest song ever created.

Lita Ford and Ozzy Osbourne - Close My Eyes Forever

I am in the mood for some oldies. Anyone interested?

Seeing the name Ozzy in the title, does not really mean heavy stuff, this song is more of a soft rock, and honestly I like it.

Enjoy. :)

Lyric:

Baby
I get so scared inside, and I don't really understand
is it love that's on my mind, or is it fantasy?
Heaven
is in the palm of my hand, and it's waiting here for you
what am I supposed to do with a childhood tragedy?

If I close my eyes forever
will it all remain unchanged?
If I close my eyes forever
will it all remain the same?

Sometimes
It's hard to hold on
So hard to hold on to my dreams
It isn't always what it seems
When you're face to face with me

You're like a dagger
And stick me in the heart
And taste the blood from my blade
And when we sleep, would you shelter me
In your warm and darkened grave?

If I close my eyes forever
Will it all remain unchanged?
If I close my eyes forever
Will it all remain the same?

Will you ever take me?
No, I just can't take the pain
But would you ever trust me?
No, I'll never feel the same, Oh

I know I've been so hard on you
I know I've told you lies
If I could have just one more wish
I'd wipe the cobwebs from my eyes

If I close my eyes forever
Will it all remain unchanged?
If I close my eyes forever
Will it all remain the same?

Close your eyes
Close your eyes
You gotta close your eyes for me

Tenacious D - Tribute (Live in Sydney)

The original video for the song is hilarious, but I guess you all have seen it.

So now I am going to post this one, which as the title says: Live in Sydney. Their performance is amazing, plus the first part in which they play System of a Down's Chop Suey is well, funny.

Enjoy. :)

Santana Ft. Chad Kroeger - Into the Night

One lovely song indeed.
The solo is a killer, just look at Sanatana playing it. Man got to love the guy.

Enjoy. :)

Anouk

Ever heard of her? She's one of the best rock singers out there, not so much known because... Well I don't know why! All I know is that her name is Anouk Teeuwe, and she's from the Netherlands.

Anyway, if you're into light rock, then check those two songs, it's not a must, but well if you can spare some time then you'll like her. :D

This one is called Nobody's Wife. I like the song, and I think that the video is simple yet brilliant.

The great Losing my Religion in her voice, now this is a must. Unfortunately I couldn't find the video, but I guess this will do. Simply amazing.

Brad Paisley Ft. Alison Krauss - Whiskey Lullaby

I'm kind of feeling blue, so I guess you all have to suffer with me now, ha?!

I'm pretty sure most of you know this song, but well I'd like to share it anyway. This song is really sad, and the video is even sadder.

David Vendetta Ft. Rachael Starr - Bleeding Heart

All right everyone, this is Jaz live and direct from behind the mic in My Day in Music. It's a lovely day and it is fine being around with those fine guys. :D

Before getting down to business, I'd like to thank you all for including me as a contributor in My Day in Music. Hopefully you'll enjoy my posts as much as I enjoyed yours.

For my first post, here's one great song, one of my favorites to be honest: Bleeding Heart by David Vendetta and Rachael Starr.

Enjoy.
