The Walk of Life

This song is just amazing! It brings childhood memories every time I listen to it. A classic! An all timer, which can be played anytime, anywhere. And lately I haven't been getting enough of it, please make the song go away! or actually don't ... I'm lovin' it!

Although the video doesn't feature ANY females, yet I think it is one of the most brilliant videos ever! And by the way, it was one of the very few (and I really mean VERY few) songs that the unbelievably strict Saudi TV's English Channel 2 would play back in the 80's, although I'm very sure they deleted the scene at the beginning of the video where the cheerleaders show up.

But anyways, do enjoy, please! :-)

PS: If there's anything I regret about not attending Mark Knopfler's concert in Dubai a couple of years ago, it's this song.

Dire Straits - Walk of Life

Here comes johnny singing oldies, goldies
Be-bop-a-lua, baby what I say
Here comes johnny singing I gotta woman
Down in the tunnels, trying to make it pay
He got the action, he got the motion
Yeah, the boy can play
Dedication devotion
Turning all the night time into the day

He do the song about the sweet lovin woman
He do the song about the knife
He do the walk, he do the walk of life, yeah he do the walk of life

Here comes johnny and he'll tell you the story
Hand me down my walkin shoes
Here come johnny with the power and the glory
Backbeat the talkin blues

He got the action, he got the motion
Yeah, the boy can play
Dedication, devotion
Turning all the night time into the day

He do the song about the sweet loving woman
He do the song about the knife
He do the walk, he do the walk of life

Here comes johnny singing oldies, goldies
Be-bop-a-lula, baby what I say
Here comes johnny singing I gotta woman
Down in the tunnels, trying to make it pay
He got the action, he got the motion
Yeah the boy can play
Decidation devotion
Turning all the night time into the day

And after all the violence and double talk
Theres just a song in the trouble and the strife
You do the walk, you do the walk of life
